Hello to everyone who might read this. I hope you are having an awesome day. I know I have. In this blog I hope to give you an insight on what it is like to be a high school senior and an almost college freshman. But I also hope to cover topics concerning Bible verses and everyday occurances that interest me. For my fist post I am going to share with you about a book I am reading for school. We are reading a book by Randy Alcorn called Safely Home. This book is about the persecuted Christians that are living in China. It starts out going you a glimpse at a lowly Chinese man who is sneeking of to attend a house church with his family. The other man they give you a glimpse of is wealthy business man. You might be thinking what is this girl talking about. But just give me a few more sentences and I will get there. Te book goes on to tell you that these two men were college roommates at a college on America. Anyway the two end up together in china while the business man is there on business. The lowly Chinese man is put into prison because of his faith in Jesus Christ. The wealthy business man is so intrigued as to why the other man will not recant his faith. The Chinese man simply states that God will keep him from harm and he will end up safely home. For me this book kinda hit home with me. I struggle daily to keep up a Christian image. Reading this book taught me that I need to be more grounded in my faith. The lowly Chinese man suffered greatly for his faith and never waivered. Tonight at youth group we watched a video on the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirrit was sent to give us strength to push on through trials and hardships. Many people do not want to listen to the Spirit because it will hold them accountable for what what they have done. But anyway, that is my first blog post. I hope you enjoy reading it, and I will try my best to keep this blog stocked with fresh blogs every week or every other week. So keep checking back and I hope you enjoy!
